If a referred user cancels their purchase or receives a refund, the commission tied to that sale is voided or deducted from your affiliate balance. This keeps payouts fair and accurate, commissions are only ever paid on sales that are actually completed and kept.
Here's how that works in practice:
If the commission hasn't been paid out yet
The commission is simply voided, it's removed from your pending balance before it reaches a payout, so it won't count toward your next withdrawal.
If the commission has already been paid out
The amount is deducted from your current affiliate balance to reverse the earlier payment.
Why we do this
Affiliate commissions are earned on genuine, completed purchases. When a sale is reversed, the commission for it is no longer valid, voiding or deducting it ensures every payout reflects real, retained sales.
